Kap Frida” on Berlin’s Stralau peninsula has been open for a few days, the first cakes, sandwiches and coffees have been sold and the new grease recovery unit “FiltaFOG Cyclone” has also successfully passed its Berlin launch.
The “Kap Frida” operator Deniz Koc decided on this mobile grease recovery unit, which currently has the highest grease separation rate and the least remaining grease content in the waste water, because both a fixed installation in the cellar and a conventional device for fixed installation were not possible due to the local conditions.
“It was clear to us from the outset that we would install a grease srecovery unit to prevent food deposits in the pipes and to keep the wastewater as grease-free as possible,” says Deniz Koc. “The fact that we won’t have any odours in the kitchen with this new type of grease recovery unit and that operation and maintenance are very simple and quick also convinced us immediately.”
The waste water from the sinks and the dishwasher as well as from the combi oven flows through the grease recovery unit. The separated oil is disposed of by Filta in an environmentally friendly manner and is even reimbursed. Filta service staff also carry out regular technical maintenance.
